Why do it alone?

Regain your mental clarity

Restore your energy

Feel like yourself again

In SOMA, you learn how to release the stress your body has been holding, regulate yourself when you need to, and recognize what your body is communicating instead of overriding it.

In our monthly workshops, we take this work deeper, exploring the patterns that shape how you live, relate, work, and respond to people and situations.

And you don't have to do any of it alone.

SOMA gives you a place to keep returning to the work—with guidance, practices, and a community of people learning alongside you.

This changes how you move through your life. You feel more spacious, energized, and alive.

SOMA — The Somatic Practice Membership with Dr. Barbie Kalev

You do so much to take care of yourself. So why are you still feeling tired, stressed, and blah?

You exercise. You try to eat well. You take supplements. Maybe you wear an Oura Ring or WHOOP and know exactly how you slept last night.

You've done therapy, meditation, breath work, personal development, functional medicine—or maybe you're still doing some combination of all of it.

You take really good care of yourself.

And still...

You're tired more than you want to be.

When you finally sit down at the end of the day, your brain doesn't seem to know that the day is over.

You're having dinner with your partner or spending time with your family, and part of you is already thinking about tomorrow.

You have time to rest, but you don't always know how to actually relax.

And sometimes you wonder: Why don't I feel better than I do?

Nobody ever taught you what to do with the stress your body is holding.

Think about how naturally you moved through things as a child.

When you were sad, you cried. When you were angry or frustrated, you yelled. When you had tons of energy, you ran around and played. When you were tired, you slept.

You didn't have to think about any of it. Your body knew what to do.

Then you grew up.

You learned not to cry. Not to yell. Not to fidget. Not to yawn in public. Not to touch or rock yourself to self-soothe. You learned to sit still, hold it together, push through, be productive, and keep going.

Little by little, you learned to override what your body was telling you.

And all of that stress, emotion, tension, and energy doesn't simply disappear because you've gotten very good at carrying it.

And no, don't worry. SOMA isn't about returning to being a screaming child or throwing tantrums.

It's about remembering what your body knew how to do naturally—move stress and emotion through rather than holding onto everything.

You learn how to listen to your body again, give it an opportunity to release what it's been holding, and respond to what it needs instead of automatically overriding it.

SOMA is where you learn to work with your body—not just think your way through everything.

There are two parts to the work we do inside SOMA.

You learn practices you can use on your own, whenever you need them.

You’ll find Somatic Stress Release practices throughout The Relaxed Powerhouse and the SOMA practice library, alongside the nervous system regulation practices inside Unclenched.

Some help you release stress and tension your body has been carrying. Some help you settle when you're feeling riled up, overwhelmed, or simply stressed out. Others help you wake up your energy, ground yourself, transition out of your workday, prepare for sleep, or simply come back to yourself.

The point isn't to become dependent on me to feel better.

You learn what works for your body and how to use these practices yourself, in your actual life.

And the best thing is, you get to do this in community.

And then, once a month, we go deeper together.

Our live SOMA workshops are hands-on, experiential workshops where we take something you're actually navigating—boundaries, sleep, receiving, body image, capacity, relationships, or whatever we're exploring that month—and work with it through the body.

There's education, yes. But we're not just sitting around talking about it.

We're doing the work.

You'll experience the practices with me, notice what comes up in your own body, have opportunities for reflection and to ask questions, and begin to see and work with patterns you may have understood intellectually for years—but experience them in an entirely different way when we bring the body into the conversation.

Member note: I'm not just thinking differently—I'm feeling differently in my body

And then you start noticing things are different.

Maybe something happens that would normally mess up the rest of your day, and this time it doesn't.

When you notice the stress in your body, you know what to do with it, and you move through it instead of carrying it with you.

You sit down at the end of the day and actually feel like you're done for the day.

There's more space in your body. You no longer snap at the kids or your spouse. Little things just don't bother you anymore—not like they used to.

Your energy starts to feel like it's actually there again.

You think more clearly. You spend less time overthinking and second-guessing yourself.

And one of the things I hear again and again is some version of:

“I feel like I have so much more space in my life—and I didn't even have to do less.”

What we do in SOMA isn't about cutting things out of your life so you can finally handle it.

It's about having more capacity for the life you already have.

Everything inside SOMA is designed to help you actually integrate this work into your real life.

You don't need hours a day. You don't need to become an expert in somatics. And you definitely don't need another course sitting in your library that you never finish.

Here's what you'll have inside SOMA:

01

Unclenched — A 30-Day Nervous System Regulation Journey

A simple 30-day sequence of short practices designed to help you regulate your nervous system and begin developing a different relationship with your body.

Along the way, you'll get simple education and reflection prompts, a somatic coloring book, self-care rituals, and encouraging voice notes from me to support you as you go.

02

The Relaxed Powerhouse

This is where you'll learn Somatic Stress Release and build a toolbox of practices you can use in the moments you actually need them.

You'll learn about the stress cycle, why stress can remain in the body, and the role rest plays in helping your system recover.

Then you'll have 25+ short somatic practices you can reach for depending on what's happening that day—whether you're stressed, depleted, riled up, having trouble settling down, transitioning out of work mode, getting ready for sleep, or simply wanting to feel more grounded and present.

You don't have to wonder what to do. You start learning what works for you.

You can begin with Unclenched or jump straight into The Relaxed Powerhouse. There's no perfect way to do SOMA.

03

A 30-Day SOMA Calendar

If you'd rather not decide what to do each day, I've done that for you.

The 30-Day Calendar brings together practices from Unclenched, The Relaxed Powerhouse, and the SOMA library into one simple 30-day experience.

Just open the calendar and do what's there that day.

04

Practices for What You're Actually Experiencing

Sometimes you don't want a program or a calendar. You just want help with what's happening right now.

That's why you'll also find practices and resources organized around specific things you may be experiencing.

Can't sleep? Go to the Sleep section.

Having trouble resting? Go to Rest.

As SOMA grows, I'll continue adding new sections so you can come in, find what you need, and use it.

05

Monthly Live SOMA Workshops + The Workshop Library

Each month, we'll explore something that actually matters in your life—things like boundaries, sleep, receiving, body image, connecting to yourself, relationships, capacity, and more.

These aren't lectures.

We'll learn, yes, but mostly we'll do the work together through guided somatic practices, reflection, questions, and opportunities for coaching.

And you already have a library of more than a dozen past SOMA workshops to explore when you join.

So if you can't make a workshop live—or there's something you're working with now that we've already explored—you can go straight to the library and find it.

06

The SOMA Community

You aren't doing any of this in isolation.

SOMA is a community of people who value authenticity and realness over performance, masking, and hustle.

You can share what you're noticing, ask questions, practice alongside other people doing the work, and be part of a community where you don't have to show up polished or have everything figured out.
